Welcome to the webpage for Project No. 0115-0123, Replacement of Bridge No. 04765 Carrying Chase Road over Cady Brook in Putnam.
An in-person public informational meeting for the project was held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at Putnam Municipal Complex located at 200 School Street in Putnam.
The purpose of this project is to create a new bridge with an improved structure design and hydraulic performance that will increase the safety of all travelers.
Right-of-way impacts are on private properties and will consist of temporary construction easements for access, grading, and water handling.
Construction is expected to start in 2028, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is approximately $4 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
