The Office of the State Building Inspector reviews requests for the following:

• Interpretations of state building code requirements. View past interpretations.
• Modification of state building code requirements. View past modifications.
• Exemption from state building code accessibility requirements.

Each process is different and the modification and exemption requests require use of a standard request form. Requests for interpretation can be via e-mail or letter.
