Phishing Alert: Scam Calls and Emails Targeting License Holders

DPH has identified a phishing scam targeting Connecticut license holders. Scammers are using phone calls and emails that look like they're from the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health, but they're not.  Calls from (860) 509-7603 or emails claiming an issue with your license are directing license holders to a fake eLicense site to "validate" their license by entering their Social Security number, date of birth, and other personal details.

DPH will never call or email asking for your Social Security number. If action is being taken on your license, you'll be notified by letter through the U.S. Mail.

Only enter personal information at the official site: https://elicense.ct.gov/, which always requires a login first.

This page contains information about Connecticut EMS licensing, certification, endorsement of an out-of-state certification, renewal, and reinstatement of a lapsed credential.  For additional information or inquiries not covered, please contact the OEMS Licensing Department at dph.emslicensing@ct.gov or phone at (860) 509-7528 for assistance.
