June is Pride Month — a time to celebrate Connecticut’s LGBTQ+ community, honor the progress that has been made, and recognize the work that still lies ahead to ensure everyone has the opportunity to live healthy, safe, and supported lives.
At the Connecticut Department of Public Health, we believe public health is for everyone. That means working to reduce barriers to care, improve health equity, support mental health and well-being, and ensure all residents feel seen, respected, and empowered to access the services they need.
Throughout Pride Month, communities across Connecticut will come together through events, education, and advocacy that celebrate identity, inclusion, and connection. We encourage residents to take time this month to learn more, support one another, and help build healthier communities where everyone can thrive.
Happy Pride Month from the Connecticut Department of Public Health!
