Welcome to the webpage for the State Project No. 0083-0277, Replacement of Bridge No. 00153 Carrying Quarry Road over Interstate 95 in Milford.
A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on January 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions. The project involves addressing the structural deficiencies of the bridge by constructing a new two-span continuous steel multi-girder superstructure supported by new reinforced concrete abutments, wingwalls, and pier founded on spread footings.
Right-of-way impacts will be determined following further evaluation and coordination. Construction is expected to start in spring 2029, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $14.2 million with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
