Connecticut 2055 is an update of the state’s long-range transportation plan, a strategic blueprint highlighting the goals, performance measures, policies, and investments needed to develop the state's transportation system over the next 30 years. CTDOT is holding a pair of public information meetings to provide the public the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the draft long-range transportation plan. A question-and-answer session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded.

Connecticut 2055 is the state’s long-range transportation plan. This policy-focused plan is updated every 3-5 years to reflect the changing transportation landscape and serves as a strategic blueprint that sets out the goals, performance measures, policies, and investments needed to develop the state’s transportation system over the next 30 years.  

Connecticut 2055 focuses on: 

  • Enhancing mobility, efficiency, quality of life
  • Supporting a long-term vision that serves all of Connecticut
  • Embracing technological innovations that improve safety
  • Balancing multimodal investment needs and priorities
  • Laying the foundation for future plans and projects

They help create a cohesive and integrated plan that meets the long-term needs of the community. Your feedback from the first round of public engagement last spring helped to finalize the vision and goals of Connecticut 2055.
