Welcome to the webpage for State Project No. 0120-0097, the Rehabilitation of Bridge Nos. 02393 and 02394 carrying Route 11 over Eightmile River in Salem.

 

A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

  

This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions. This meeting will take place on Zoom where a question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded.

 

The purpose and need for this project are to address the structural deterioration of the existing bridge superstructures and extend the service life of the structures. Right-of-way impacts are not anticipated as part of this project.

 

Construction is expected to start spring 2029, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisitions, and permits. The estimated cost is $16 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
