Welcome to the webpage for Project 105-221, Raising the Superstructure of Bridge No. 02708 on Route 154 over Plum Bank Creek in Old Saybrook.

 

A hybrid public informational meeting for the project will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Old Saybrook Town Hall, First Floor Conference Room at 302 Main Street in Old Saybrook. This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions. The meeting will also be held virtually on Zoom.


The
purpose of the project is to raise the superstructure of Bridge No. 02708 to ensure
recreational access and use from Plum Bank Creek.

 

Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project are not anticipated.

 

Construction is expected to start in 2028, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $3.4 million, with 100% state funds.
