Welcome to the webpage for Project 101-122: Rehabilitation of Bridge No. 07102 Carrying Route 216 over unnamed brook in North Stonington.
A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions. This meeting will take place on Zoom, and registration is required. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded.
The purpose of this project is to address the existing bridge’s structural deficiencies by installing a box concrete culvert that will meet CTDOT and Federal Highway Administration design and safety standards. Construction will also include a wrong way detection system installed at the I-95 southbound Exit 93 off-ramp.
Right-of-way impacts are not anticipated. Construction is expected to start in summer 2029, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $2 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
The proposed project plans can be viewed here:
