Project 0053-0203

Welcome to the webpage for Project 0053-0203, the Replacement of Bridge Nos. 01702 and 01703, carrying Route 2 Westbound/Eastbound over Quarry Road in Glastonbury. 

A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Wednesday, November 4 , 2026 at 6:00 p.m. This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions. 

This project will replace structural elements of the bridges to extend their service life to provide a safe crossing for all roadway user

Right-of-way impacts are not anticipated. Construction is expected to start spring 2029, depending on funding, potential right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $21 million with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
