Welcome to the webpage for State Project No. 0011-0163, Replacement of Bridge No. 07106 Carrying Route 189 and Terry Plains Road over Unnamed Brook in Bloomfield.
A virtual public informational meeting for the project was held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
The purpose and need for this project is to address the exceeded design lifespan of the current bridge and with a new structure that will create a service life that is in accordance with CTDOT and FHWA design standards.
Right-of-way impacts are anticipated as part of this project.
Construction is expected to start spring 2029, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $5 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
