Welcome to the webpage for State Project 0004-0136, Replacement of Bridge No. 02112 carrying Route 10 over an unnamed Brook in Avon.
A virtual public informational meeting for the project was held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to present additional Complete Streets elements being introduced to the project that will ensure safe travel for pedestrians and bicyclists on Route 10 between the Talcott Notch Road and Old Farms Road intersections.
Right-of-way impacts are expected consisting of partial takes, slope easements, drainage rights of way, temporary construction easements and rights.
Construction is anticipated to begin in 2027. The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $7 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
A previous virtual public information meeting concerning project was conducted on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting aimed to inform the community purpose of the project, which is to address the structural deficiencies of the bridge to accommodate safe travel and proper conveyance of the brook water below.
