Welcome to the webpage for State Project No. 0003-0113, Rehabilitation of Bridge No. 07094 carrying Route 89 over Basset Brook in Ashford.
A virtual public informational meeting for the project was held on Wednesday, February 5, at 7:00 p.m.
This meeting is being held to provide the public and local community the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. The meeting will take place on Zoom, and registration is required. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded.
The purpose of this project is to address structural and hydraulic deficiencies of Bridge No. 07094 by designing and constructing a replacement structure that meets current design standards. The need for this project stems from structural deficiencies identified in the bridge inspection report which assigns a structural evaluation rating of 4 (poor) to the structure. The proposed replacement structure at this location will be a 15’x 8’reinforced concrete box culvert.
Right-of-way impacts are anticipated due to the proposed improvements and the need to provide access to drive-ways within the project vicinity. Temporary property impacts are also anticipated at each end of proposed culvert.
Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2028. The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $3.8 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
