About the program
The Bus Stop Enhancement Program (BSEP) is CTDOT’s standardized framework for upgrading bus stops to improve customer experience, satisfaction, and accessibility. The program focuses on the design and installation of modern bus stop infrastructure, including new amenities, while ensuring full ADA compliance.
Bus stops often serve as the first point of contact with Connecticut’s public transportation system, playing a vital role in shaping a rider’s initial impression. CTDOT is working to make bus stops more welcoming, accessible, and consistent—contributing to a better transit experience statewide.
