The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that corrective work on the swing bridge will be performed on Route 82 in Haddam and East Haddam. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, December 15 and be completed on Friday, December 19, 2025. The work consists of adjustments to the bridge center pivot bearing. During this time, the bridge will be unable to swing open for marine traffic. Marine vessels that can travel under the bridge without an opening will not be affected. Vehicular traffic will not be affected.
