The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a new traffic pattern for Bridge carrying Route 130 (Stratford Ave) over Pequonnock River in Bridgeport to transition to Stage 2 of construction will be implemented on April 23, 2026. This lane shift will stay in place until the Fall of 2026.
CTDOT Project No. 0015-0339 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. at a cost of $38,988,223.20 on November 26, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed on November 30, 2026. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in the City of New Haven.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Traveling lanes of Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) on the bridge will be shifted on April 6, 2026, from the south side of the bridge to the north side of the bridge with one (1) travel lane each direction. Traffic control signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
