The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is developing plans to replace the existing fuel oil aboveground storge tank at the New Haven Maintenance Facility. The present schedule indicates that the design will be completed in September of 2026, with construction anticipated to start in the spring of 2027, assuming acceptance of the project, availability of funding, and receipt of any required right-of-way and environmental permits. This project will be undertaken with 100% state funds.
CTDOT will also be replacing the existing diesel underground storage tank and fuel island with a new fuel island, diesel AST, unleaded AST, and diesel exhaust fluid tank on the site of CTDOT’s existing maintenance facility located at 35 Ella T Grasso Boulevard in New Haven.
The purpose of this project is to improve the operations of our maintenance facility.
