The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is developing plans to rehabilitate, replace or remove Retaining Wall Nos. RW-015-008-001, RW-015-008-002 and RW-015-008-008 on Route 8 and Retaining Wall No. RW-015-095-025 on Route 95 in Bridgeport.
The project will consist of either rehabilitating, replacing or removing the aforementioned retaining walls in Bridgeport. Each existing retaining wall will be assessed individually for consideration of the recommended rehabilitation alternative.
The present schedule indicates that the design will be completed in 2028, with construction anticipated to start in 2029, assuming acceptance of the project, availability of funding and receipt of any required right-of-way and environmental permits. This project will be undertaken with 100% state funds.
It is CTDOT's policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken. It is important that the community share its concerns with CTDOT to assist in the project's development.
