The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) today announced that the 2025 Transportation Showcase: Keeping Connecticut Moving – The Future of Transportation will take place Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford from 8 to 10 a.m. To register for this free event, visit the registration page.
This two-hour event will explore critical role of public transportation in strengthening communities, supporting businesses, and creating a more accessible, efficient, and sustainable future for our state. With continued federal and state infrastructure investments, Connecticut has a unique opportunity to transform its transportation system.
This event will feature keynote speaker Arthur Guzzetti, Vice President of Mobility and Public Policy for the American Public Transportation Association.
The 2025 Transportation Showcase will include networking and breakfast, and a panel session exploring the future of transportation in Connecticut. The panel will cover three major topics: federal funding, specific projects across the state like electrification of the statewide bus fleet, microtransit and rail updates, and how these projects benefit businesses, residents, and communities.
The panel will be moderated by WNPR’s Where We Live host Catherine Shen. Panelists include:
- Marian Andoh-Clarke, Director of Small Business Development, Hartford Chamber of Commerce
- Garrett Eucalitto, Commissioner, Connecticut Department of Transportation
- Matt Hart, Executive Director, Capital Region Council of Governments
- John Truscinski, Director of Resilience Planning, The Connecticut Institute for Resilience & Climate
