The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is hosting two meetings concerning the I-95 Greenwich Planning and Environment Linkages (PEL) Study. The first meeting will be on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 6:30-9 p.m. at Greenwich High School at 10 Hillside Road in Greenwich. The second meeting will be virtual on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 12-1:30 p.m. on Zoom, and registration is required. To register, visit i95Greenwich.com. Residents, business owners, community organizations, and members of the public are encouraged to attend to share their transportation-related experiences in the corridor at the upcoming public meetings.

CTDOT is performing the I-95 Greenwich PEL study, which began in 2023, to analyze potential improvements for safety and mobility along the I-95 corridor from the New York State Line to Exit 7 in Stamford and along U.S. Route 1 within the study limits. A PEL study is a collaborative approach to decision-making used to identify transportation issues and environmental concerns. This integrated approach considers environmental, community, and economic goals early in the planning process and uses this information to transition from the long-range planning process to transportation project development and environmental review.
This is the first series of public information meetings for the study, and both sessions will include the same content. The in-person meeting will follow an open-house format, allowing the public to ask the study team one-on-one questions regarding the study. Members of the public are encouraged to submit comments, questions, and complete our survey during the 30-day public comment period beginning November 6, 2024. Please note, should the in-person meeting need to be cancelled due to inclement weather, the in-person meeting will be rescheduled for December 3, 2024, from 6:30-9 p.m.

Language assistance is provided at no cost to the public and efforts will be made to respond to timely requests for assistance.
