The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct a hybrid public information meeting concerning the rehabilitation of the Mohegan-Pequot Bridge in Montville and Preston on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 7:00 pm. The meeting will take place at the Montville Public Safety Building located at 911 Norwich-New London Turnpike, Uncasville, CT 06382. The meeting will also take place on Zoom.
This hybrid public information meeting is being held to provide the public and local community the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded. “This project will address existing bridge deterioration and extend the service life for another 20 years or more,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager James Barrows II. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design.”
Right-of-way impacts are not anticipated with this project.
Construction is anticipated to begin spring 2028. The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $32.8 million. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.

This meeting will also be livestreamed on the CTDOT YouTube channel; no registration is required. Non-English language closed captioning will be available on Zoom and YouTube. The recording will also be posted immediately following the meeting in the list of CTDOT virtual public meetings at portal.ct.gov/ctdotVPIMarchive.
