“This project will replace the existing bridge that was originally constructed in 1958 and rehabilitated in 2002. The replacement will improve safety and extend the service life of the structure," said Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager Michelle Rame. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design.”
Anticipated right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project will include one (1) partial take, three (3) permanent slope easements, one (1) temporary construction easement, three (3) right to construct driveways, and three (3) right to install sedimentation control systems.
Construction is anticipated to begin spring 2027 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s). The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $3.5 million. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
