The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to upgrade the guiderail along the Wilbur Cross Parkway (CT Route 15) in New Haven and Woodbridge.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a scheduled five-night closure of the I-84 westbound Exit 9 on and off-ramps in Newtown from September 13, to September 17, 2020. The Exit 9 Ramp will be closed each night, beginning at 8:00 PM, and will reopen at 5:00 AM the following morning. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate ongoing construction and safety improvement activities. All work is weather permitting.

The closure is necessary to facilitate roadway reconstruction activities, including installation of new drainage, realignment of the roadway, and reconstruction of vertical grades to improve sight lines on Route 319 (Orcuttville Road) between Route 32 and Route 190 in Stafford.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime pavement preservation project will be performed on Route 349 northbound and southbound in Groton on the expressway and non-expressway portions, from I-95 to Shennecossett Road. The milling operations will begin on September 14th 2020, with paving operations expected to begin on September 19th 2020.
