The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a traffic signal safety and technology enhancement project will commence on May 8, 2023.
This project will remove the programmed nighttime flashing operation, install video detection, and replace traffic controllers at select state-owned and maintained traffic signals in Southwestern Connecticut.
DOT Project No. 0173-0501 was awarded to: Ferguson Electric Company, Inc. at a cost of $2,679,917.00 November 30, 2022, and is scheduled to be completed on November 15, 2023. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in New Haven.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
There will be intermittent lane closures Monday through Friday between 9:00AM and 3:00PM and between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Some intersections and side roads allow intermittent lane closures Saturday and Sunday between 6 p.m. and 10 a.m.
Permitted closures during active work periods may restrict traffic to alternating one way traffic, with active traffic control, police or flagging personal.
