The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing forestry mowing along I-84 Exits 45 and 42 Westbound off-Ramps and Eastbound on-ramps in Hartford will begin Sunday, August 6, 2023, between the hours of 7:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.
The project consists of using a forest mower to improve sight lines and remove vegetation encroaching the highway. The project is to be performed by Distinctive Tree Care starting Sunday, August 6, 2023.
LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO
Motorist can expect exit ramp closures on I-84 exit 45 Westbound off-ramp, exit 45 Eastbound on-ramp, exit 42 Westbound off-ramp and exit 42 Eastbound on-ramp.
Exit 45:
The detour for Westbound August 6, 2023 and August 7, 2023 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. through 5:00a.m. is to proceed on exit 44, a right onto Kane Street, left onto Prospect Avenue, right onto New Park Avenue, and left onto Flatbush Avenue.
The detour for Eastbound August 7, 2023 and August 8, 2023 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. is to proceed right onto New Park Avenue, left onto Prospect Avenue, right onto 84 Eastbound.
Exit 42:
The detour for Westbound August 8, 2023 and August 9, 2023 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. is to proceed on exit 43, right onto Park Road, right onto Trout Brook Drive.
The detour for Eastbound August 9, 2023 and August 10, 2023 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. is to proceed left off Trout Brook Drive onto Park Road, left onto I- 84 exit 43 Eastbound on-ramp.
