The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the final pavement surface treatment on the Merritt Parkway in Westport may require the nighttime closure of the Exit 41 northbound and southbound off-ramps during the week of May 24, 2021, depending on weather and temperatures.
The ramp and lane closures may occur from 7PM (southbound) or 8PM (northbound) and may continue until 6 AM.
During any ramp closure a signed detour will be in place. Motorists that normally use the off-ramps at Interchange 41 will be guided to use the following detours:
- EXIT 41 southbound off-Ramp closure and access to Wilton Road (Rte. 33): Detour will direct motorists to use EXIT 40A southbound off ramp to Main Avenue and return to EXIT 41 northbound off ramp and Rte. 33 via Exit 40A northbound entrance ramp.
- EXIT 41 northbound off Ramp closure and access to Wilton Road (Rte. 33): Detour will direct motorists to use EXIT 42 northbound off ramp to Weston Road (Rte. 57) and return to EXIT 41 southbound off ramp and Rte. 33 via the Exit 42 southbound entrance ramp.
