The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled detour of Strawberry Hill Avenue at Beacon Street in Norwalk on Monday, June 21, 2021, from 9 AM to 4 PM, weather permitting. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities associated with the rehabilitation of Bridge 0061 carrying Strawberry Hill Avenue over I-95 in Norwalk.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during this operation and motorists can follow the signed detour around the closure. Vehicular traffic will be detoured using Fitch Street, East Ave, and Sunset Hill Ave/Tierney Street.
