The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled detour of South Main Street (SR 807) southbound beginning on or around Wednesday July 7, 2021. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate the replacement and construction of a retaining wall along South Main Street.
Detour Information:
- Southbound traffic from the intersection of East Main Street and Main Street will follow the detour onto Elm Street to South Main Street.
- Northbound traffic from the intersection of South Main Street and Elm Street will maintain normal traffic flow.
Normal Traffic operations will be re-established beginning on or around October 7, 2021.
Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through work zones and maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity. Signing patterns and associated traffic devices will be used throughout the work zone.
