The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridge 06706 carrying I-395 over a brook in Thompson.
The work consists of utilizing a slip lining procedure. The existing culvert is in poor condition and will be replaced with a smaller slip line pipe that will be encapsulated in a high strength grout.
DOT Project No. 0141-0156 was awarded to Hammonasset Construction, LLC at a cost of $564,298.50 on July 8, 2021 and is scheduled to be completed June 23, 2022.
