The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing pavement preservation construction activities on sections of Route 2, I-395, and I-95 in Bozrah, Groton, Lebanon, Montville, and Norwich starting on May 17, 2021.
The project consists of placing ultra-thin bonded pavement, resetting catch basin tops, surface patching, crack sealing, and installation of pavement markings on Route 2 from exit 22 to exit 25, I-395 from exit 5 to exit 9, and I-95 from exit 85 to exit 89.
Motorists can expect the following lane closures:
- Route 2 westbound (Lebanon, Bozrah and Norwich) Monday through Friday, from Midnight to 6AM; 9AM to Noon; 7PM to Midnight and on Saturday and Sunday from Midnight to 6AM; 9AM to Noon; 7PM to Midnight from May 10, 2021 to October 14, 2021.
- Route 2 eastbound (Lebanon, Bozrah and Norwich) Monday through Friday, from Midnight to 6AM; 10AM to Noon; 6PM to Midnight and on Saturday and Sunday, from Midnight to 6AM; 10AM to Midnight from May 17, 2021 to October 14, 2021.
- I-395 northbound (Montville) Monday through Friday, from Midnight to 6AM; 9AM to Noon; 7PM to Midnight and on Saturday and Sunday, from Midnight to 6AM; 9AM to Noon; 7PM to Midnight from May 10, 2021 to October 14, 2021.
- I-395 southbound (Montville) Monday through Friday, from Midnight to 6AM; 10AM to Noon, 6PM to Midnight and on Saturday and Sunday, from Midnight to 6AM; 10AM to Noon; 6PM to Midnight, from May 17, 2021 to October 14, 2021.
- I-95 northbound (Groton) Monday through Friday, from Midnight to 6AM; 9AM to 3PM; 6PM to Midnight and on Saturday and Sunday, from Midnight to Midnight from May 17, 2021 to October 14, 2021.
- I-95 southbound (Groton) Monday through Friday, from Midnight to 6AM; 9AM to 3PM; 6PM to Midnight and on Saturday and Sunday, from Midnight to Midnight from May 17, 2021 to October 14, 2021.
DOT Project 172-500 was awarded American Industries Inc. at a cost of $12,475,000.00 and is scheduled to be completed October 18, 2021.
