The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing scheduled complete closures of Route 8 southbound in Waterbury, occurring daily for approximately 4-5 weeks, beginning on Sunday, January 10, 2021, between the hours of 10 PM and 6 AM. The closures are necessary to facilitate demolition activities associated with the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) rehabilitation project in Waterbury.
CLOSURE INFORMATION
Route 8 southbound (starting at Exit 32) will be closed daily beginning Sunday, January 10, 2021, between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, for a period of approximately 4-5 weeks. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Motorists should follow Route 8 southbound to Exit 32 (Riverside Street). Follow Riverside Street to the Route 8 southbound Naugatuck/Bridgeport on-ramp.
