The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the commencement of work for the installation of an Incident Management System Along Routes 9 & 72 starting November 4, 2021.
The project consists of installing infrastructure for the expansion of the Incident Management System along Route 9 and Route 72. The proposed system installations will include new cameras and communication equipment.
DOT Project Nos. 0171-0415/0416 was awarded to Ducci Electrical Contractors, Inc. of Farmington, CT at a cost of $20,468,000 on September 20, 2021 and is scheduled to be completed on June 11, 2023. This project is administered by the Office of Construction – District 1 in Rocky Hill.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures on RT 9 Southbound & Northbound Exit 11 to Northerly Termini and RT 72 Eastbound & Westbound Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, as well as any hours Saturday and Sunday.
