The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that mobile daytime left lane closures will occur Thursday, April 22, 2021, weather-permitting, in both the northbound and southbound directions of the Merritt Parkway in Westport and Fairfield. These moving work zones are required to perform inspections of the pavement.
Motorists can expect the left lane of northbound Merritt Parkway to be closed at the Norwalk line beginning at approximately 9 AM. Once the northbound direction is inspected, the lane closure will move to the southbound direction beginning at Congress Street. The lane closure will be a moving operation and should be completed, in both directions, in approximately 4 hours. Signs will alert and inform motorists traveling on the Merritt Parkway of the lane closures.
