The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that continued preparations for final paving on the Merritt Parkway Improvement Project in Fairfield and Westport will require the nighttime closure of Exit 41 (on and off ramps) for pavement milling work, August 5 through August 7, 2020, from 6 PM to 6 AM, each day.
Motorist that normally use the on or off ramps at Interchange 41 will be guided to use the following detours:
- EXIT 41 Southbound off Ramp closure and access to Wilton Road (Rte. 33): Detour will direct motorists to use EXIT 40A southbound off ramp to Main Avenue and return to EXIT 41 northbound off ramp and Rte. 33 via Exit 40A northbound entrance ramp.
- EXIT 41 Northbound off Ramp closure and access to Wilton Road (Rte. 33): Detour will direct motorists to use EXIT 42 northbound off ramp to Weston Road (Rte. 57) and return to EXIT 41 southbound off ramp and Rte. 33 via the Exit 42 southbound entrance ramp.
- EXIT 41 Southbound on Ramp Closure and access to Rte. 15 southbound: Detour will direct motorists to use EXIT 41 northbound on ramp to Rte. 15 north and use EXIT 42 to Weston Road (Rte. 57) and return to Rte. 15 south via the Exit 42 southbound entrance ramp.
- EXIT 41 Northbound on Ramp Closure and access to Rte. 15 northbound: Detour will direct motorists to use the EXIT 41 entrance ramp to Rte. 15 South via Wilton Road (Rte. 33) and use EXIT 40A to Main Avenue and return to Rte. 15 North via Exit 40A northbound entrance ramp.
