The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that milling and paving of Darien train station south parking lot on Friday, October 9 beginning at 11:00 p.m. and ending Monday, October 12, 2026, at 4:00 a.m.
The Darien Train Station South parking lot is being milled, paved and restriped to provide a smoother driving and walking surface. The platform will be open during this time and access can be made from the East (right side of Track 4 platform) on Squab Lane.
CTDOT Project No. 0301-0195 was awarded to Banton Construction, Inc. at a cost of $31,972,395.49 on August 3, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed February 2027. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 5 in New Haven.

The parking lot will be closed on October 9 from 11:00 p.m. to October 12, 2026, 4:00 a.m. Traffic will be detoured accordingly.
