The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 202 in New Milford and Washington. This project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, May 26 and be completed on Friday, June 12, 2026. The project 0174-0488CN “FF” consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.15-mile segment of Route 202 in New Milford and Washington from Route Buckingham Road to Sunoco Gas Station. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Black and Boucher on Tuesday, May 26 to Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by O&G Industries is anticipated to begin on Wednesday, June 3 to Friday, June 12, 2026.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 202 from Buckingham Road to the Sunoco Gas Station.Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
