The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 4 in Torrington. This project is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, July 15 and be completed on Thursday, July 23, 2026. The project 0174-0488CN “H” consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.34-mile segment of Route 4 in Torrington from Riverside Avenue to Service Road 800. This project is scheduled to begin milling & Paving by Waters Construction on Wednesday, July 15 and be completed on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 4 from Riverside Avenue to Service Road 800 in Torrington. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday.
