Milling and Resurfacing on Route 202 in Brookfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 202 in Brookfield. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, July 6 and be completed on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The project 0174-0488CN “EE” consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.22-mile segment of Route 202 in Brookfield from Route 133 to US 7.  This project is scheduled to begin milling by Black and Boucher on Monday, July 6 to Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by O&G Industries is anticipated to begin on Sunday, July 19 to Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

 

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 202 from Route 133 to US 7. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
