The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing construction work on Bridge No. 02214 carrying Crooked Street over PAN AM Southern Railroad in Plainville. This new lane configuration is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, and remain until mid-summer 2026. The work on Bridge No. 02214 is being added to the 0171-0501 Original Contract by CTDOT. The work consists of temporary traffic realignment and bridge rehabilitation.
CTDOT Project No. 0171-0501 was awarded to the Manafort-Brunalli Design Build Team at a cost of $33,945,000.00 on August 12, 2024 and is scheduled to be completed August 27th, 2026. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Newington.
