Epoxy Pavement Markings on Multiple Routes throughout Northwest Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that This project consists of repainting epoxy pavement markings on multiple routes in northwest Connecticut. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Wednesday, April 1 and continue through Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

The towns included are Bristol, Morris, Thomaston, Washington, Canton, Simsbury, West Hartford, Hartland, Granby, Barkhamsted, Litchfield, Watertown, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Prospect, Ridgefield, Torrington, Bethlehem, Bethel, Sherman, New Milford, Oxford, Southbury, Kent, Canaan, Winsted, Avon, Farmington, East Granby, Suffield, Seymour, Watertown, Derby, Ansonia, Wilton, Harwinton, Redding, Colebrook, New Fairfield, Danbury, Newtown, Winchester, Warren, Roxbury and Bridgewater .

Project 0170-3652 consists of repainting existing lines to current standard.

Project 0174-0474 consists of grooving and painting new lines to current standard.

This project is being performed by Safety Markings Inc.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

There will be lane closures on various routes in the towns listed above from Wednesday April 1 to Tuesday September 15, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. No work will be done on Holidays. Traffic control signing patterns and flaggers will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
