The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the full re-opening of the Paddock Avenue Bridge over Route 15 Meriden. This milestone work, part of Phase 2 of the I-91, I-691, Route 15 Interchange Improvements Program, included full reconstruction of the bridge, ADA-compliant sidewalk and park curb installation, and landscaping along Paddock Avenue. The one-way alternating traffic pattern has been lifted, and the roadway is now in its final alignment. The work was fully completed by Friday, May 22, 2026 by 6:00 p.m.
CTDOT Project No. 0079-0246 was awarded to O&G Industries at a cost of $185,000,000 on January 29, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed November 30, 2028. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.
