The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is testing its Automated Work Zone Speed Control (AWZSC) equipment at various construction work zones throughout the state, starting on Monday, January 12 and concluding on or before Friday, January 30, 2026. This test involves innovative flashing advanced notification signs to accompany the AWZSC stationary enforcement units in work zones throughout the State.
The designated construction work zone locations where this testing will be conducted are East Lyme, Glastonbury, and Meriden. Additional details can be found on the CTDOT Know the Zone website.
The AWZSC Program is being managed by HDR Engineering, Inc.
