CTDOT Project No. 0171-0503 was awarded to Waters Construction Company, Inc. at a cost of $1,942,740.00 on January 28, 2025, and is scheduled to be completed November 10, 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.
The Bolton Maintenance Facility will have its fuel oil storage tank, potable water storage tank, wastewater storage tank, standby generator, and heating boilers replaced. A diesel exhaust fluid dispenser will also be installed. The Union Weigh Station will have both its oil-water separators replaced up to standard.
These improvements are being performed to help both facilities meet Federal and State Building Codes, and to meet Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CTDEEP) regulations.
