The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the temporary closure of Route 207 (Pond Road) in Franklin as part of State Project No. 0052-0093, the replacement of Bridge No. 01547 carrying Route 207 over Beaver Brook.
This project began on Tuesday, April 1 and be completed by November 18, 2025. The project 0052-0093 consists of installing construction signs, temporary signalization, removal of existing structure, installation of micro-piles and construction of a new structure with integrated abutments.
CTDOT Project No. 0052-0093 was awarded to McNamee Construction Corporation at a cost of $4,744,000.00 on October 28, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed November 18, 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich, CT.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Bridge No. 01547 carrying Route 207 over Beaver Brook will be closed and traffic will be detoured onto State Highway 610 from Sunday, June 15, to Sunday, August 24, 2025. Detour signage will guide motorists through the detour.

- Turn left onto State Highway 610
- Turn right onto Route 32
- Turn right onto Route 207 Eastbound
Traffic From the North:
- Take Route 207 West
- Turn left onto Route 32 Southbound
- Turn right onto State Highway 610
