The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a roadway resurfacing project will be performed on Route 6 (Providence Pike) in Killingly. This project is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, April 23 and be completed on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Project No. DOT01720536CN “D” consists of resurfacing a 2.85-mile segment of Route 6 in Killingly from the Snake Meadow Brook overpass to the Rhode Island State Line. The roadway resurfacing for this project by American Industries Inc. is anticipated to begin on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 6 in Killingly from the Snake Meadow Brook overpass to the Rhode Island State Line. Crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
