The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that roadway improvement projects will be performed on I-395 in Plainfield. This project is scheduled to occur on Thursday, November 20 and be completed on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. The project 0170-3737 consists of pavement preservation, milling and paving and guiderail upgrades of I-395 north and southbound lanes in the vicinity of Exit 32 (Mile Marker 31.5 to Mile Marker 32.5).
CTDOT Project No. 0170-3737 was awarded to Waters Construction Company, Inc. at a cost of $6,736,274.00 on March 16, 2025, and is scheduled to be completed December 1, 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be alternating lane closures on I-395 north and south from Thursday, November 20, through Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions throughout the duration of the work. Traffic control signing patterns and state troopers will guide motorists through the work zone.
