The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the rehabilitation of Bridge No. 02475 will be performed on Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) in Bridgeport. This project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, and be completed on Monday, November 30, 2026. The project 0015-0339 consists of structural steel, concrete and bridge deck rehabilitation, mechanical rehabilitation - which includes installation of a new Control House, replacement, and rehabilitation of the existing mechanical system. The project also includes electrical rehabilitation - which includes demolition and replacement of the existing bridge electrical system and installing a new lighting and power system. The existing roadway drainage systems will also be rehabilitated and/or replaced along with sidewalk and curb reconstruction.
CTDOT Project No. 0015-0339 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. at a cost of $38,988,223.20 on November 26, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed on November 30, 2026. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in the City of New Haven.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be lane shifts on Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) in Bridgeport between Water Street and Kossuth Street starting Tuesday, April 1, 2025. There will be five (5) anticipated weekend closures of Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) starting Fridays at 9:00 p.m. extending to Mondays at 5:00 a.m. between the construction season spanning from June 10, 2025, and November 11, 2026. Traffic control signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
