The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a Joint and Crack Sealing project will be performed on various state routes within the Greater Hartford area. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, July 14, 2025, and be completed on Friday, November 7, 2025. The project DOT01703229CN consists of pavement joint and crack sealing.
The following routes are included in this project.
- State Route 533 (Grady Road to Route 30) in Vernon
- Route 69 (Route 72 to Route 6) in Bristol
- Route 71 (Route 372 to OP State Route571) in Berlin
- Route 171 (Route 190 to Ringe Road) in Union
- Route 31 (Route 44 to Tolland T/L) in Coventry
- State Route 528 (Route 190 to Route 83) in Somers
- State Route 536 (Route 372 to White Oak Ave.) in Plainville
- Route 70 (Cortland CR to Cheshire Road) in Meriden
- Route 99 (Rocky Hill T/L to Oxford ST) in Wethersfield
- State Route 502 (East River DR to Route 44) in East Hartford and Manchester
- State Route 534 / Bolton (Hartford Road to Route 85) in Manchester and Bolton
- Route 319 (Route 190 to Route 32) in Stafford
This project is being performed by Connecticut Sealcoating Inc.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be various lane closures on various state routes in Vernon, Bristol, Berlin, Union, Coventry, Somers, Plainville, Meriden, Wethersfield, East Hartford, Manchester, Bolton and Stafford from Monday, July 14 to Friday, November 7, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
