The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing overnight closures of the Stratford Avenue Bridge starting August 13, 2025. The overnight closure will begin at 10:00 p.m. and end no later than 5:00 a.m. the following morning. This will be a 1-day event.
In the event the closure is cancelled due to weather, the closure will be implemented the following day.
CTDOT Project No. 0015-0339 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. at a cost of $38,988,223.20 on November 26, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed on November 30, 2026. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in the City of New Haven.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
The Stratford Avenue Bridge will be fully closed during the overnight hours from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on August 13, 2025, from the intersection of Stratford Avenue/Kossuth Street on the east side, to the intersection of Water Street/Fairfield Avenue/Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) on the west.
