The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that bridge rehabilitation activities will be performed on Bridge No. 02380, ramp from Governor Street to I-84 eastbound in East Hartford. This project will start on Sunday night, September 7 and is scheduled for completion on Monday, September 21, 2025. The project consists of pin and hanger rehabilitation on various bridges throughout District 1.
CTDOT Project No. 0170-3551 was awarded to Rotha Contracting Company, Inc. at a cost of $5,413,828.30 on December 28, 2022, and is scheduled to be completed on July 2, 2026. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
The ramp from Governor Street to I-84 eastbound will be closed nightly from Sunday, September 7 through Sunday, September 21, 2025. Traffic will be detoured to Route 2 eastbound. Traffic control signing patterns and detour signage will guide motorists through the work zone and detours.
